Advanced Life Support – cardiac arrest management using airway adjuncts, oxygen, defibrillator, and cardiac arrest drugs.
Management of Asthma using oxygen and nebulised medications – Salbutamol and Ipratropium Bromide
Management of Diabetes using medications – GlucoGel and Glucagon
Management of Anaphylactic Reactions – use of oxygen, nebulised medications, and IM injection of Adrenaline.
Management of a range of medical emergencies, including treatment with a larger selection of drug therapy than a technician can use – E.g., Diazepam
Recognition of the critically unwell patient
Management of Trauma – using basic ambulance skills (oxygen, splints, spinal immobilisation, etc)
Management of Catastrophic Haemorrhage
Management of mental health emergency
Reversal of opiate OD with IM Naloxone
